These little ones – still little, by the way, although not so much in age now – happy as can be in their homemade costumes, not knowing we were poor, crawling over all over their mom as she studied, knowing more bones in the human body by the age of three than most will know in their whole lives. Cassidy’s fascination with her mom’s microbiology books, Candice’s belief that the Nutcracker was alive and very, very dangerous — there’s no love like that. None. Except, of course, when we added the little E-man. Never believe that hate will win. Don’t you EVER believe that. LOVE is the force to be reckoned with. It’s LOVE. It’s LOVE. And we got that in spades.
ALWAYS.
